习近平总书记指出，“中国式现代化是人与自然和谐共生的现代化”。当前，我国正在积极实施生物多样性保护重大工程，一大批珍稀濒危物种得到有效保护，一幅万物和谐共生的生态画卷正在徐徐展开。

作为中学生，同学们对于保护濒危动物又有什么样的看法呢？对此，初一年级各班（含少年班）以“Protecting Endangered Animals（保护濒危动物）”为话题，展开了精彩的演讲，让我们来听听孩子们的想法吧。

少年1班  李沛蓉

Animals are natural resources that people have been wasting all through our history. Hundreds of the animals are endangered today. People and animals have a close relationship. They affect and limit each other. So we need to protect animals, just like protecting ourselves.
动物是人类历史上一直在浪费的自然资源。今天有数百种动物濒临灭绝。人和动物有着密切的关系。他们相互影响，相互制约。所以我们需要保护动物，就像保护我们自己一样。

少年1班  杨恬澈

People kill animals so crazily. But how can we protect them? First, we need to stop people around us killing endangered animals. We should treat them as our friends. Second, we can’t buy things made of those endangered animals. No buying, no killing!
人们疯狂地捕杀动物。但我们如何保护他们呢？首先，我们需要阻止我们周围的人杀害濒危动物。我们应该把他们当作我们的朋友。其次，我们不能买那些濒危动物做的东西。没有购买，就没有杀戮！

The panda is a symbol of China, so we must save the pandas which show harmony in the world. First of all, we should protect the bamboos and plant more.
熊猫是中国的象征之一,也象征着世界和谐，因此我们必须拯救他们。首先，我们就要保护熊猫的吃食-竹子，并且种植更多的竹子。

The golden snub-nosed monkey, also known as the “golden monkey,” is a symbol of resilience and adaptability in the face of environmental challenges.
川金丝猴，又被称为“金丝猴”，象征着在面对环境挑战时的韧性和适应能力。

Animals are our friends. Please don’t hurt them.
动物是我们的朋友。我们不能伤害它们。

Pandas are in great danger. There are few pandas in the world. Why are pandas endangered? First, pandas don’t have many babies. They just have one or two every two years. Second, some pandas don’t live a long life because of illness. What’s more, people cut down many trees. There were a lot of bamboos before.
熊猫处于极大的危险之中。世界上熊猫很少。为什么大熊猫处于濒临灭绝？首先，熊猫的宝宝不多。他们每两年才有一两只。第二，一些熊猫死于疾病。更重要的是，以前有很多竹子， 但后来人们砍了许多树。

初一3班  陈浩然

Tigers are a symbol of China. I like them because they are also a symbol of bravery. But now, they are also endangered. Some people kill them because they are scary; others kill them for their fur...
老虎是中国的象征。我喜欢它们，因为它们也是勇敢的象征。但现在，它们也濒临灭绝。有些人杀死它们是因为它们很可怕；其他人为了他们的毛皮而杀了他们...

Now many measures have been taken to protect pandas, and their population is on the increase. However, we should do more to make an ideal habitat for them. 
现在已经采取了许多措施来保护大熊猫，它们的数量正在增加。然而，我们应该做得更多，为他们创造一个理想的栖息地。

Pandas which mainly live in Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces are known as the national treasure of China. Pandas with white and black fur weigh an average of 200 to 300 pounds and reach six feet in length.
大熊猫主要生活在四川、陕西和甘肃，被称为中国的国宝。长着白色和黑色皮毛的熊猫平均重200到300磅，体长可达6英尺。

初一5班  丁妙彤

White rhinoceros are very strong. But now, there are only about 6000 because of their horns. The horns have medical value. So many people kill them for their horns.
白犀牛本身是非常强壮的。可是 现在只有大概6000头白犀牛幸存下来。这一切都源自于他们具有药用价值的犀牛角。太多的人为了得到犀牛角而猎杀他们。

初一5班  龚子屹

Elephants are good at remembering ways and do lots of things like humans. But why smart elephants are fewer and fewer in the world? Because people cut down many trees and buy quite a lot of things made of ivory.
大象善于记忆路线，并且能做很多人类才能办到的事情。但是，为什么如此聪明的大象也越来越少了呢？这都是人类大量砍伐树木，买卖象牙制品的后果。

本次演讲中，同学们提到了许许多多值得被保护、被关注的动物---大熊猫，中华鲟，金丝猴，白犀牛，鲸鱼，大象，老虎等。他们声情并茂，慷慨激昂，呼吁着大家爱护动物，保护生态环境，维持生态平衡。

没有鱼儿的陪衬，水再清也无活力；没有鸟儿的映衬，天再蓝也无朝气。让我们响应习总书记的号召，共同构建一幅人与动物和谐相处的美好画卷。
